'Ruby', 1895

Categories:   South Coast Shipwrecks

The 'Ruby' was an 8-ton 'fishing-smack' (probably a ketch) that had been built in Balmain, probably in the 1870s. On 5th December 1895 she sprung a leak off the coast of Jervis Bay. Her crew took to a dinghy and landed on Beecroft Head. The vessel sank.
