South Coast NSW History Story

'Minora', 1875

Categories:   South Coast Shipwrecks

This is a definite 'maybe'. The schooner Minora was travelling from Adelaide to Brisbane in early 1875 with a load of flour and bran. She never arrived. One reference indicated a board bearing her name was washed ashore (but no mention of where), another reference linked her loss to that of the Annie Ogle and Europe in the same storm. It seems the Annie Ogle was wrecked on the NSW North Coast. So, more information would be greatly appreciated.
